A triangle of poetic entanglements

figures fade, meanings shift,
Echoes of fame now hollow and adrift

The video is based on stone sculptures from the Jardin de l'Hôtel de Peletier de Saint-Fargeau in Paris, fragments marked by centuries of erosion. New figures and patterns have emerged from the weathered surfaces, silent and monster-like. Ilex leaves recorded in Paris drive an audio-reactive image, scratching and rustling until the sculpture becomes something else. Where human significance fades, erosion produces its own iconographies and nature carries on as its own author. The eroded surfaces become a quiet argument about who holds agency once human control loosens.

The work developed during a six-month fellowship at the Cité internationale des arts de Paris, awarded by the Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst.
